Old vulcano containing Basalt, 2005
These pictures were taken on our way to Bosra in Southern Syria. They are photos of an extinct vulcano with the mineral Basalt (this was the story that I got...) The mineral is used in buildings and also for body scrub.
Lovely pictures, thanks. As a geologist I have to point out that it's "volcano", and basalt is a rock (a collection of different minerals), not a mineral :O)
